Hiring an architect to help with your house build is a very personal decision. It’s a financial decision. Some may call it a financial burden while others an investment. It adds a layer of complexity yet adds clarity. Many of us can have a dream and further expand by creating favorite lists/boards in Houzz and Pinterest. This helps you stay organized and even gives you inspiration but doesn’t make you a designer nor an architect. An architect pulls your ideas together and skillfully creates a plan. I’m not yet talking about a floor plan, rather a game plan. Carefully orchestrating a step by step approach. Technically 5 Phases. (We will talk about the 5 phases in our project in future posts.)
It’s this game plan that ultimately allows for a fairly seamless connection with you as the homeowner and the contractor to build the house you’ve dreamt of. Some people may be successful in finding a contractor with vision to build a great house based on a recipe that has worked for them. However, we felt to succeed in creating the project we wanted, finding the right architect to help us pull this off was a necessity.
