Hey Dad I thought only YouTubers Make Money on the Internet

I figured a post dedicated to the stuff we used during camping is called for. My dad is a pro at researching stuff and I’m fairly certain that’s where I get it.  Not only does it allow you to make a really informed decision, it also gives you some time to reflect if you really need it.   I’ll let you know if my research paid off.  If I thought the item was helpful I’ll provide a link.

The links will also monetize our site.  (minimally…think pennies)  I thought it would be a good teaching point for my kids.  Although my oldest daughter knows what Tik Tok, Snap Chat and Instagram are, she had no idea what monetizing a site was.  We will hopefully change that.   In the process we will give 50% of proceeds to the Humane Society and Hocking Hills State Park.

Gorilla Cart:

Our first camping trip led to 8 round trip hikes 700 feet back to the camp site.   We didn’t bring hair dryers or a microwave, but felt like we had most other items covered.  With dad doing most of the heavy lifting I decided to do some research on carts.  I ended up purchasing a Gorilla cart.  I figured it would come in handy not only for camping but for lots of outdoor work which I enjoy. It’s also a ton cheaper than a side by side with a dump

During the next camping trip we only needed 2 trips with the Gorilla cart.  Success!!

Tent:

You can put this thing up and down in 5 mins with 2 people.  Enough said.

Hanging out in EVO hammocks – super relaxing.

Campfire grill.  Cooking directly over or in aluminum foil worked great.    It also worked great for our campfire coffee maker.

Sawyer Spray

See the prior post   Excellent tick repellant

Campfire coffee maker

You have to earn it to enjoy it.   We used this on our gas grill and over a campfire on the grill. Worked well.  I don’t hunt but felt a similar satisfaction in building a fire, grinding the beans and making coffee.   Enjoy.

Lighting

A fire is probably all you need but hanging some lights makes it special and why not.  We hung them on some rope and worked great.

Goal Zero

Helped blow up the airmatress, charge peripherals.  Gives you a little piece of mind. You can even buy portable solar panels to attach.  There are several similar brands out there but ours is going srtong after a few years.

Northface Double Sleeping bag

Perfect size for 2 adults.  Kept us warm even in the low 40’s.
